Non-handheld, or stationary video baby monitors have a large screen, which gives a bigger picture of the baby. These come with a feature to turn off the video and just have audio, if need be, during night. These are great to conveniently keep an eye out on your baby!

Video baby monitors, also sometimes called baby cameras or baby cams, are a great way to keep an eye on a child during the daytime or night time. The video baby monitors come with a receiver, which is used to point at the baby in, for example, a crib or on a floor, and a receiver. With a handheld receiver, the parent or guardian is then free to walk and roam the house with out worry. With a non-handheld, or stationary receiver, the parent or guardian can place it in a convenient location for viewing of baby. The screened receiver are also sound capable, which means you will not only see what your child is doing, but hear a cry, for example.
